This Privacy Policy explains how MyLearnScreen ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the MyLearnScreen mobile application, desktop application, and website (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).

1. Who we are

MyLearnScreen is an education-technology platform based in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. We provide online courses, live classes, video lessons, practice questions, and doubt-resolution tools for students and teachers.

2. Data we collect

2.3 Device data

2.4 Payment data

When you purchase a course or subscription, payment is processed by a regulated payment gateway. We receive the payment status, transaction ID, and amount, but never see or store your card, bank, or UPI credentials.

2.5 What we do NOT collect

We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties.
We do not read your device's contacts, calendar, photos (beyond the image you explicitly pick for upload), SMS, or location.
We do not profile you for behavioural advertising.

3. How we use your data

We process your data to: authenticate you, deliver video lessons and practice content, grade your practice answers, route your doubts to your teacher, enforce digital-rights management (DRM) and anti-piracy watermarks, process payments, send transactional communications (receipts, login codes, announcements), and protect the Service against abuse.

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

4. Service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to host our infrastructure, deliver video content, process payments, and enforce DRM. Each provider is contractually bound to use your data only to perform services for us and to protect it with appropriate security measures. We are happy to disclose the specific providers on request to support@mylearnscreen.com.

5. Where your data is stored

Your personal data is stored and processed in data centres located in India. Some traffic, such as video segments delivered through a Content Delivery Network, may be routed through edge servers outside India purely for performance; the data returned is the same public video-segment that any authorised viewer receives, and no personally identifying information is served from those edge locations.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Payment and tax records are retained for the period required by Indian tax law. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

7. Your rights

Under the DPDPA, 2023 you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — request that we delete your data, subject to any retention we are legally required to keep.
Withdraw consent — for processing that relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that has already taken place.
Grievance — file a complaint with us or with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any right, email support@mylearnscreen.com from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children and young learners

MyLearnScreen is intended for learners aged 13 and above. Indian law (DPDPA, 2023) requires verifiable parental or guardian consent for the processing of personal data of anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ensure a parent or guardian reviews this policy and creates or supervises your account. We will delete any data we become aware of that was collected from a child under 13 without verified parental consent.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, and restricted access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India within the timelines the DPDPA requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the changes are material we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest revision.
